Shared strategies are the most successful, but in order for everyone to choose to use them they need to be meaningful, memorable and most importantly - they need to work!
This straightforward strategy could be dismissed as too simple- but dive into the depth of it and you see why it works so well, for children of all ages, and for adults too. It helps to build consistency, provoke positive conversations around appropriate and expected behaviours and empower our children with strategies that grow as they do.
You will leave this training with the tools to transform behaviour and build consistency between classes, educators, parents and anyone who works with children (or adults for that matter!)
- Know what makes every child shine - in a whole range of contexts
- Empower adults to agree what is expected – in simple and specific ways that promote self-regulation
- Help children to begin to consider their choices and see the connected consequences of their actions
- Enable adults to see how their partnership with the children can cause or cure challenges
- Empower everyone, adults and children alike to consider the implications of their actions on others, growing more reflective, respectful and thoughtful actions and interactions
